What is going on with our Washington Wizards?
There was a lot of hope for our Washington Wizards this season. But they haven’t lived up to expectations. There was talk of us making the playoffs. Its a short NBA season, but our chances of making the playoffs don’t look realistic based on the first six performances so far. We have a had some tricky games so far against the New Jersey Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics (back to back) and Orlando Magic. Tomorrow we play the under achieving New York Knicks, who have lost four games already! How will we cope against the star studded Knicks? Carmelo Anthony, Mike Bibby, Baron Davis, Tyson Chandler and lets not forget Amar’e Stoudemire.
If the young Wizards can avoid a blow out then I shall consider this game a success. If they can pull of a win, well that we be awesome. We do hold a record so far, though its nothing to be proud of. We are the NBA’s only winless team after our loss to Orlando on Wednesday night. This made us 0-6 for the first time our franchise history.
On a sad note I have just discovered that John Wall has lost his appetite for basketball. The development of Wall is the Wizards’ best hope to at least become competitive again. It may not happen if Wall’s psyche is damaged beyond repair so early in his career. Wizards coach Flip Saunders will have to make some decisions about John Wall and Andrey Blatch. I’m going to the game tomorrow, who else is going? Go Wizards!!
