Maryland Polar Bear Plunge

The Maryland Polar Bear Plunge is the largest plunge event in the United States. This event is held in the winter where brave people decide to plunge into a body of water in  Chesapeake Bay despite the low temperature. The 16th annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge will take place at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, MD on Saturday January 28th.

So you must be thinking what is the purpose of this event? The MSP Polar Bear Plunge benefits Special Olympics Maryland and the thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities who experience the life-changing benefits of participating in the organization’s year-round training and competition programs – all at no cost to themselves or their families.

Donations start from $50.00 and they have raised a staggering $1,608,992.00 with three days to go. Baltimore Ravens quarter back Joe Flacco will be taking part in this event. We would love to hear from people who are going to this event.
