Downtown Holiday Market returns to DC
With the holidays fast approaching I’d like to share one of my favorite festive events to attend in DC. I enjoy going to the Downtown Holiday Market. Luckily for us Washingtonians the 7th annual Downtown Holiday Market returns to DC for 22 days. It starts on December 2 through December 23, 2011. It will be situated on on F street in front of the Smithsonian American Art Museum & National Portrait Gallery between 7th & 9th Street, NW. This event brings a unique and festive shopping village to Downtown DC. Everyday from noon to 8pm this market will feature 175 artisans, crafters and boutique businesses.
With this event Christmas shopping will be made easier and I’m certain you can find something for everyone on your list. You will find hundreds of diverse gift items, such as jewelry, pottery, paintings, and textiles will be offered by 60 exhibitors each day.
While you shop you can enjoy the live seasonal music. You will get to hear rock, jazz, gospel, folk, classical, blues, reggae and more. I’d like to hear from anyone who is looking to attend and if there is any thing in particular that you are looking for. With that being said, its time for me to compose my Christmas shopping list.
Let your friends know that you plan to attend the Downtown Holiday Markets by RSVPing on our Facebook events page!
