Cherry Blossom Festival Parade

Every year the National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place in Washington DC. The gift of the Cherry Blossom trees is from the Japanese to the Americans, celebrating friendship between the two countries and its people.

2012 marks the centennial National Cherry Blossom celebration. Back in 1912 the Japanese gifted the Americans 3000 Cherry Blossom trees. The epic 5-week spectacular, from March 20 – April 27, 2012, will unify the city, the nation, and the world.

I’m looking forward to attending the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade on April 14th between 10am-12.30pm. The location is Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th streets, NW. Tickets cost $20 for grand seats, click here to purchase or its FREE along the parade route.
