Ride on through Washington D.C.’s historic Union Station, a national transportation hub, as it gears up for 30 days of celebrating Earth Month 2013. The month-long event, greatly expanded this year, will feature interactive, eco-friendly experiences throughout Union Station designed to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage sustainability.

You won’t want to miss events such an eco-minded film festival, a green fashion show, alternative energy demonstrations, the Amtrak Sustainability Fair, and much more. In honor of Earth Month, the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival and Youth Art Contest will include a greater emphasis on environmental themes and expose the budding artists to more than 100,000 visitors who travel through Union Station’s doors each day.

Union Station is located at 50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE. Washington, DC. It is located on the Metro’s Red Line. Onsite parking includes more than 2,000 spaces. Earth Month events will be held throughout the building.
